Welcome from the PSPA

The Pingry School Parents’ Association (PSPA) is the official parent organization of the Pingry school. All parents of current Pingry students are members. The PSPA is a financially self-sustaining organization, and all of our activities are funded by membership dues and funds raised at our benefit or other fundraising activities.

The Objective of the PSPA

The PSPA has a very clear and single minded objective, and that is to increase involvement and create a positive sense of welcome and belonging for all members of the Pingry community.

The Communities We Serve

The primary targets for our activities are current parents and families, however the PSPA also works to build community within and between other key constituencies of the Pingry community such as current students, the administration, staff and faculty.

PSPA Activities

The PSPA achieves its community-building objective by organizing and hosting a wide range of activities for parents, students, faculty and staffon both our Short Hills and Basking Ridge campuses. We aim to provide a wide range of options and ways for parents to get involved. We host social events on school property, facilitate social events in private homes, organize informational sessions with school administration and other speakers of interest to parents, provide family service opportunities and much, much more. Our key events and activities are listed on both the electronic and paper Pingry calendars.

PSPA Leadership

The PSPA is overseen by the PSPA Executive Board. This 12 member board consists of 5 elected positions and 7 positions appointed by the PSPA President. The board meets monthly to assure that all activities are running smoothly and in accordance with the PSPA objective. Click here to see the current members of the PSPA Executive Board. There are an additional 60+ Advisory Board members in leadership positions. These Advisory Board members oversee an individual PSPA event or activity. Hundreds of parents volunteer to support our activities each year. Whether they volunteer for an hour or run an event, the PSPA only functions as a result of our incredible volunteers and we are grateful for everyone’s help.

Getting Involved

The best way to engage with our community is to proactively participate in events or better yet, join a volunteer team. Select the Volunteer Opportunities tab on the left hand side of this page to see a full listing of volunteer opportunities. We encourage you to get involved both because we need your help, and also because we truly believe that by becoming more involved in the Pingry community, your entire family will get more out of the Pingry experience.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, or to any member of the Executive Board.

Thank you.
