Strategic Plan

Building upon the school's strong history and guiding principles, the plan provides a blueprint for the future as we ensure our position as one of the few unquestionably outstanding independent schools in the country. We intend to achieve this vision through our unwavering commitment to attract and retain an exemplary faculty; to intellectually engage all Pingry faculty and students; to develop leaders within a well-rounded and honorable student body; and to steward-and in some cases, develop-exceptional facilities and resources that reflect our commitment to strong programs in academics, athletics, and the arts.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the role our trustees, alumni, parents, faculty, students, and staff played in helping to formulate this plan over the last year. Throughout the year, we asked every member of the Pingry community to participate in the planning process, and we were pleased to receive more than 500 replies and critical suggestions. Many, many thanks to all who responded.

Once more, thank you for your continued interest in Pingry and for your commitment to sustaining the vision that Dr. John Francis Pingry espoused when he founded the school in 1861. Today, almost 150 years later, we continue to strive to maintain Dr. Pingry's legacy through our dedication to the principles he cherished most-a commitment to outstanding education in an environment that emphasizes leadership, honor and character, and a commitment to respect and serve others.

We look forward to future collaboration with you as we begin the next chapter of Pingry's history-the exciting work of making this Strategic Plan a reality.
