Changing the Recorded Name
The first thing that you will need to do to use Pingry's phone system is to change or setup your recorded name. This will let callers know that they have actually reached you instead of getting the system's automated message which only tells the caller that they have reached an extension number...not very exciting or personal.
Press the messages button. You will hear a recording asking you to enter your password. If you are at your own phone, enter the default password which was assigned by the Technology Department - call x1280 or send email to techhelp@pingry.org if you did not receive it. Next, push the the "#" button and the same nice lady will give you a barrage of choices. If you are at any other phone, press the * button then enter your extension, password followed by the "#" button.
Next, press"4" to get to "Setup" options.
Then, press "3" to get to "Personal settings".
Finally, press "2" to change your recorded name.
The nice recording will then guide you through setting up your recorded name.
When you are finished, hangup or press "*" to get back to the main menu to setup your voicemail greeting.
