School, Academic Year, and Session
Select the school, academic year, and session in which to work.
Note: You should pick either Pingry Upper School or Pingry Middle School.
Entering Class Attendance
You can (should) enter attendance for your first period class.
- Click Attendance on the Navigation Bar. You can also click the calendar beside a class name on your class list on the Home page to go directly to the Attendance page for the class.
- The Attendance page for your current class meeting appears. Be sure to select the appropriate Term and Class (Section)
- Click Customize on the grid and be sure "This Week" is reflected as "Dates to Include." Do not use this feature to report future or anticipated absences.
- To return to the Attendance page, click OK.
- To mark a student absent, select ABS from the attendance codes in the drop down menu.
- Do not enter details and comments about an attendance entry under "Details." The Details field is reserved for the Division Offices to note parent communications regarding a student's absence.
- After you enter attendance for a class meeting, select "Yes" in the Attendance Taken row below the class meeting column heading. Note: Even if no students are absent from your class you must select "Yes" to indicate that attendance has been taken.
- To save attendance, click Save.
The Attendance process is now complete.
