*NEW* Pingry Wilderness Adventures: The Wild West in the American Mind
This month-long wilderness adventure course will take you into the heart of Idaho and Wyoming, where you'll develop leadership skills while exploring the remarkable history, landscape and spirit of the American West. Activities include approximately 19 backpacking days in the Sawtooths, Frank Church Wilderness, and Tetons, a 2-day rafting trip, and tours of historical landmarks.
Spaces for 6-8 students. Must be in good physical condition, but prior camping experience while helpful, is not necessary.
Chaperones: John Crowley-Delman and Rachel Hiles (Sara Boisvert will participate for the first full week)
Estimated cost: $4,500 this includes all fees except for immunizations and personal spending money. Students are also asked to fundraise $250 per person for the service project.
